Harmonia Havana
You can’t eat music.
Music can give hope, dignity and a sense of future. But in Cuba, we have also seen that many people are struggling with the most basic needs.
Harmonia Havana grew out of this reality. What began through our musical work became a simple human responsibility: to help families, elderly people and isolated individuals with food, medicine and direct support where it is needed most.
It is a small project, built on personal contact, local trust and the belief that solidarity must also be practical.
Support through an existing community
Our mission is to support families living in poverty by providing essential food supplies, working hand in hand with Cuban volunteers who bring solidarity and care directly into the neighborhoods.
Our special thanks go to Cuban percussionist Reinaldo Poncé, the volunteers, and the Sinai Baptist Church in Jacomino, whose local commitment and care make this support possible.
How we support
Food support
We help provide basic food supplies such as rice, beans, sugar and cooking oil to people in need.
Medical support
Where possible, we support the local distribution of essential medication, including antibiotics and painkillers. The medication is distributed by a doctor to ensure responsible and appropriate use.
